By mechanical arrangement this is an effect as follows: from a shuffled deck a few cards are fanned, squeezed and shown to have diminished to HALF THE SIZE! They are squeezed again and they reduce to ONE QUARTER OF THE ORIGINAL SIZE! Each time they diminish, one card is removed from the fan and placed aside to show the comparative size. They are diminished four times, until they cards are only half-an-inch long, when they finally VANISH COMPLETELY! As the envelope states "very strongly made in quality cards". There are several styles of diminishing cards made through the decades and this is one of the more elaborate ones. Mr. Chapender was a professional manipulator who was inspired by seeing Tommy Downs.
