The performer displays five brass chips having different ESP symbols. The backs of the chips are blank and they are spread out face up on the table and a spectator is asked to think of one symbol. The spectator doesn't mention it but just thinks of it. The performer collects the chips in hand and signs one of them on its back which is the performers prediction. The chips are mixed and placed on the table again face up. For the very first time, the spectator states which symbol he was thinking of. The performer takes the actual chip and places it in the spectator's open palm. The remaining chips on the table are turned over and they are all blank. When the spectator turns over the selected chip in his hand it is the marked one! The prediction was right!
