The die is a very visible 3 1/4" size and the steel blade is 6 1/2" long x 3" wide. The chest spans 6 3/4" high and 3 7/8" wide by 3 7/8" deep. The chest into which the die just fits has large openings so the die penetration of the steel blade is very visual at all time.  

A wooden red chest is shown, as is a metal blade, and a metal die. The blade is inserted into the chest. The die rests atop the blade.  With a gentle push, you cause the die to slowly, visually pass right through the metal plate.  The blade is removed, as is the die and everything is as it should be.

Condition: The die has minor paint absence at edges of the black paint the blade has a couple of small dings near the end not affecting performance. The chest is in very fine condition.
