Description

A ring is borrowed from a spectator and wrapped in a handkerchief and given to someone to hold.  Someone else is given a tightly closed cylindrical brass box.  The box can be closely examined and it is obvious that there is no way into the box without unscrewing the lid.  Spectator confirms he still holds the ring, yet when the handkerchief is snatched away, the ring has vanished!

Now the spectator holding the brass box removes the lid.  This has a screw top and takes a little while to open.  Inside the box and completely filling it is a second brass box.  The spectator himself tips the second box out... again, the box can be closely examined, there is no way into it. Lid of the second box is unscrewed and there inside is the spectator's actual ring!  Instead of a ring you can use a borrowed marked coin if desired.

These boxes are precision made in order to work properly and you should appreciate the thought process that went into their manufacturer.  Includes three pages of instructions with routining and ideas.  No longer available.

Condition: Very Fine.
